Since Josh Hamner got into his rhythm in the ASA Late Model Challenge Series this season and captured his first series win at the Salem Speedway (IN) in July, it seems he has gotten back to his former ways by posting top-10 finishes in almost every start since.
It looked like Hamner might be able to best all of those top-10s with a win this past weekend at Gateway International Raceway (IL) until a mechanical issue took him out of contention. Hamner held the top spot for 60 of the 80 laps before the parts failure ended his run and robbed him of his win.
Hamner will be back on track with the ASA Late Model Challenge Series this Saturday, September 19th, at the Iowa Speedway (IA).
