Josh Hamner and his #38 team headed back to Five Flags Speedway (FL), where Hamner was named the Blizzard Series Champion just one year ago, looking for success.  When the checkered flag flew, Hamner finished 12th.

“We haven’t been spectacular here all year,” said Hamner.  “We qualified 18th, then in the race we struggled a little bit, but I think we have got a good handle on what we’ll need here down the road.”

Although the finish they earned wasn’t quite what the Hamner team was looking for, it was a learning experience going into the 42nd Annual Snowball Derby.

“It wasn’t the finish we wanted, but there were a lot of great cars out there and we’ll be ready when we come back down here for the Derby.”

Hamner will head back to the Gulf Coast in October for the rain-dated Miller Lite Series finale at Mobile International Speedway (AL) on October 24th before finishing out the season with his season with the ASA Late Model Challenge Series and heading back to Pensacola, Florida, for the Snowball Derby in December.
