“We tried some stuff and it didn’t work,” said Hamner. “I think I am going to go buy me a World of Outlaw dirt car. Because I can drive those things after driving this place (Mobile) as sideways as we were tonight.”
Hamner also had an off night at Five Flags and he says that after some experimental work on the setup that they are going back to square one.
“We tried some things that worked up in Milwaukee (ASA Challenge event) that didn’t work down here,” added Hamner. “We’ll get back on track and we’ll be good come December, you can guarantee that. You have to try things every now and then, we could have found something that would have set the world on fire, but we didn’t so we’ll move on to the next one.”
Hamner will continue his ASA Challenge Series campaign with a track that he has experience on. Hamner raced at O’Reilly Raceway Park (IN) a few years back with the CRA Super Series in 2006.
“I am real excited about ORP.” said Hamner. “It’s one of the few tracks that I have been too. We’re looking forward too it, we learned a lot up at Milwaukee. The cool thing about racing is that you never stop learning and we have learned a lot in the last few weeks.”
Hamner will head to Indiana for the next ASA Challenge Series event on Saturday, June 13th at O'Reilly Raceway Park.

Alabama, Driver Gears Up For Next ASA Challenge Race
Many drivers would walk away from a doubleheader in the Gulf Coast Championship Series pleased with two top 10 finishes. Josh Hamner is not one of those drivers. The defending Blizzard Series champion had an off weekend, but still managed a fifth-place finish at Mobile International Speedway (AL) in the Miller Lite Series and a ninth-place finish at Five Flags Speedway (FL) in the Blizzard Series.
