Reno the Southern Super Star

Alabama native Dennis Reno, Jr. has been the biggest star of them all in the Southern Super Stars Pro Late Model tour in the deep South.  Reno won his second straight SSS event on May 30th with his Hamner Racing Engine, with this win coming at historic Montgomery Motor Speedway. 

Sixteen-year-old Johanna Long became the first female Super Late Model winner at Five Flags Speedway (FL) on April 10th.  Long won the first Blizzard Series race of the 2009 season by holding off tough customers with her Hamner motor.  Earlier in the year, NASCAR super star Kyle Busch took his HRE power plant to victory at SpeedFest 2009.  click here for all 2009 winners
